Ned Krouse

Ned is a studio potter in Haslett, MI and has been a part of the teaching staff at the Potters' Guild since his move to the Lansing area in 2000. Since receiving an MFA from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, Ned has taught at numerous college, universities and art and craft centers throughout the country. His work has been included in national juried shows and solo exhibitions, and is a part of many corporate and private collections. His ceramic art can be viewed locally at the Lansing Art Gallery.

Kathy Lookingland

Kathy is a former member of the Potters' Guild. She has exhibited her work at galleries in Michigan and Maryland and at art fairs throughout Michigan. She received her BFA and MFA degrees from Michigan State University. She has taught pottery classes at the Potters' Guild, the East Lansing Arts Workshop and the DeMat Gallery. Kathy works as a graphic designer and has taught graphic design/multimedia design at the State University of New York in Oswego, Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. Nancy Plum

A long-time resident of Okemos, MI, Nancy is a studio potter who has taught at the Potters’ Guild since 1970. She received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art with continued work at Mills College in California. She has participated in numerous one-person, regional and national exhibitions. Her work can been seen in the permanent collections at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Witte Museum in San Antonio as well as others. For many years Nancy has served as a juror for the East Lansing Art Fair.

Vicki Shirley

Vicki Shirley, formerly of Okemos, is a studio potter who resides in Escanaba, MI. She has created functional stoneware for over thirty years. She received degrees in Art Education as well as a Master of Fine Arts from Michigan State University. She became a member of the Guild in 1983, and has been teaching there since 1994. Currently she runs a ceramics program for the Bonifas Fine Art Center in Escanaba. She is a member of the Bay Area Art Association, based in Escanaba, as well as the Michigan Ceramic Art Association.
